Institutional Intelligence is written by Dr Gordon Smith. "It is a book that explores the dynamic of working effectively within organizations. It involves understanding how institutions work and knowing how best to foster the capacity of the institution to fulfil its organizational purpose."

Dr Smith is the president of Ambrose University and Seminary in Calgary, Alberta, where he also serves as Professor of Systematic and Spiritual Theology. He has been with Ambrose since the summer of 2012.
